Hi Core Department Leaders!
I hope you're having a great week.
This Thursday, the office staff will be looking at the calendar year ahead and planning all major church-wide events. I'd like to know about any significant events you'd like your department to hold in 2022 so I can mention those in the planning session.
If you know an approximate date, please include that information. Obviously, we haven't submitted these events for approval yet... so any dates/events you send are just guesswork.
Even if you don't have a clue about the dates yet, please go ahead and send me a very brief description the event. You can still send it even if you're not sure 100% sure you'll be following through on your idea. It's just good to be able to have that information as the staff is working through the plans for the year. Again, I'm just asking for the few "big" things your department may try to do in 2022, not the week-to-week (or even once a month) type of activities.
It's possible that while we're planning the calendar, we'll see a date that would work well for your proposed activity. If so, I'll communicate that to you.
It would be great if you could have that info to me by tomorrow evening so I can be prepared to share it with the team on Thursday. You can email it to me at: atarantino@porva.church
Thank you very much!
Bro. Andy
Note: I know that for some, the term "Core Department" is new. All PORVA departments are categorized as either "Core" (the essential ministries that the church absolutely could not operate without) or "Support" (ministries that play a key supporting role in helping to organize/strengthen certain aspects of the church). Core leadership pre-requisites, commitment levels and week-to-week responsibilities are much more intensive.
