Free things you can you do to spread kindness:
- Write a handwritten note of appreciation
- Offer to babysit for a couple of hours
- Volunteer with our Compassion Team for an event
- Text an encouraging message to someone you haven’t talked to in awhile
- Pick a day to specifically pray for someone and let them know
- Visit someone in the hospital
- Give strangers compliments
- Donate gently used items
- Go for a walk and pick up trash along the way
Inexpensive things you can do to spread kindness:
- Bake something for a neighbor
- Bring your co-worker their favorite drink
- Wash someone’s car
- Tip a little extra
- Send a digital Starbucks gift card to someone who needs a smile
- Pay the toll for the person behind you
- Invite someone over for dinner
- Take someone flowers (ex: someone in the hospital, someone in a retirement home)
Reasonably priced things you can do to spread kindness:
- Take someone to dinner and pay
- Pack some care bags (ex: granola bar, toothpaste/toothbrush, water) & hand out to those in need on the street corners
- Send a meal to someone or a family in need (ex: new baby, someone sick, death in the family)
- Pay for someone's gas or give a gas gift card
