Leadership Track is a four-week, invitation-only experience created to invest in people who are ready to grow in their leadership and explore how God may want to use their gifts and influence.

Each Leadership Track is intentionally limited to a small group of participants. That allows us to move beyond a traditional classroom experience and make the process personal, interactive, and practical.

Over four weeks, you'll have the opportunity to discover your leadership potential, understand your influence, identify areas for growth, and explore how God may want to use you.
More Than a Class
Leadership Track isn't designed around simply sitting in a room and listening to someone talk about leadership.

You'll participate.

You'll have conversations, work through real leadership questions, learn from experienced leaders, reflect on your own strengths and opportunities for growth, and gain exposure to different areas of ministry.

Throughout the experience, you'll participate in:
•Interactive leadership workshops
•Small-group discussions and activities
•Personal reflection and assessments
•Practical leadership exercises
•One-on-one coaching and mentoring
•Conversations with PORVA leaders
•Ministry observation and hands-on experiences

Some of the most valuable parts of Leadership Track will happen outside the classroom as you spend time with leaders, experience ministry up close, and put what you're learning into practice.
Your Four-Week Leadership Track Experience
Each week of Leadership Track builds on the one before it, taking you deeper into what healthy leadership looks like and helping you discover what it could look like in your own life.
Week 1: Lead Yourself
Discover the influence you already have. Take an honest look at your character, habits, strengths, and example and discover why the most important person you'll ever lead is yourself.
Week 2: Lead People
Learn what makes people want to follow. Explore the relational side of leadership: building trust, developing emotional maturity, serving people well, and creating the kind of environment where others can grow and thrive.
Week 3: Lead in Alignment
Discover what it means to represent something bigger than yourself. Explore why leaders need to share the core beliefs and convictions of the church they represent, and how that alignment builds trust and unity.
Week 4: From Potential to Impact
Discover what turns leadership potential into trusted responsibility. Explore how ownership, initiative, and good judgment build trust and open the door to greater opportunities to lead.
What You'll Take With You
By the end of the four weeks, you'll leave with more than leadership information.

Our goal is for you to leave with:
•A clearer understanding of your leadership strengths and potential
•Greater self-awareness and clarity about where you need to grow
•Practical tools for leading and developing people
•A deeper understanding of the convictions, culture, and values that shape leadership at PORVA
•Meaningful relationships with leaders and mentors
•Greater clarity about how your gifts can make an impact

Leadership Track is designed to lead somewhere. For some, it may be preparation for a first significant leadership opportunity. For others, it may strengthen the leadership they're already carrying and prepare them for greater responsibility.

As you grow and demonstrate readiness, your next step could include continued mentoring, hands-on ministry development, expanded responsibility, or new opportunities to lead at PORVA. This program isn't about earning a specific position. It's about preparing you for what's next and helping you discover what that could look like.
How Are Participants Selected?
Leadership potential shows up in all kinds of places, and we don't expect one person to notice everyone.

Throughout the year, PORVA leaders are encouraged to recommend people they believe would benefit from Leadership Track. Some participants are emerging leaders. Others are already carrying leadership responsibility and are ready for continued development.

Because each class is intentionally limited to a small group, not everyone will participate at the same time. Invitations are extended for each upcoming group as we consider recommendations, readiness, and opportunities for continued growth.

An invitation simply means someone believes this is a good time to invest in your leadership journey.
