Prayers for Milton’s Aftermath
  1. Protection and Safety
Lord, we lift up all those in the path of Milton’s aftermath. We ask for Your protection over families, homes, and communities as they face the effects of the storm. “You are my hiding place; You protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory.” (Psalm 32:7, NLT)
  2. Strength for First Responders
Father, strengthen and guide the first responders and volunteers who are risking their lives to bring help and safety. May they find peace and stamina in You as they serve others. “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles.” (Isaiah 40:31, NLT)
  3. Peace for the Fearful
For those facing fear and uncertainty, Lord, calm their hearts with Your presence. Let them feel Your peace in the midst of chaos. “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give.” (John 14:27, NLT)
  4. Restoration and Healing
God, we pray for swift recovery and restoration of everything lost. Rebuild homes, businesses, and spirits with Your mighty hand. “The Lord will restore everything you lost; He will make up for the years the locusts have eaten.” (Joel 2:25, NLT)
  5. Wisdom for Leaders
We pray for wisdom for local and national leaders as they make decisions for the recovery efforts. Guide them to act justly, wisely, and with compassion for all. “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you.” (James 1:5, NLT)

Continuing Prayers for Helene’s Impact
  1. Comfort for the Grieving
Lord, we lift up those still grieving the loss of loved ones and homes after Helene. Wrap them in Your love and let Your comfort surround them. “God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4, NLT)
  2. Provision for the Displaced
Father, provide for those displaced by Helene. Open doors for shelter, food, and support, reminding them that You are their ultimate provider. “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from His glorious riches.” (Philippians 4:19, NLT)
  3. Restoration of Community
We pray for the restoration of the community’s unity and infrastructure. Let them rebuild stronger, not just in physical structures but in relationships and faith. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” (Psalm 34:18, NLT)
  4. Hope Amidst Hardship
Lord, in the midst of overwhelming hardship, we pray that You fill hearts with hope and faith. Help them to look forward with courage, knowing You are with them. “I know the plans I have for you… plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11, NLT)
  5. Healing for the Injured
For all who are still physically and emotionally injured from Helene, Lord, we ask for Your healing touch. Mend their bodies and spirits with Your grace. “He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3, NLT)

May these prayers continue to bring comfort and strength to those affected by Milton and Helene. Let us keep our faith strong as we trust in God's provision and protection.
