JOIN US ON EASTER!
Note: Feel free to pray the Scriptures as well as the prayer points under each.  Remember that it’s important to pray both the Scriptures and prayer points out loud.
You have loved us with an everlasting love; You have drawn us with unfailing kindness.
(Jeremiah 31:3, personalized)
  • As I prepare for tomorrow's church service, I place my trust in You to do something extraordinary. Draw hearts to this place, as we dedicate time to seeking Your face.
  • Move among us. Touch the hearts of sinners and saints. Create within us a, “...deep yearning to enter the courts of the LORD.” (Psalms 84:2) Remove any obstacles that might hinder people from joining Your house. I stand against the enemy's plans to bring distraction and disconnection.
  • Directly speak to every struggling believer. Encourage them to be in Your house and receive the blessings You have in store. Remind them that, “…You eagerly await our arrival, ready to shower love and compassion.” (Isaiah 30:18, personalized)
  • Address the unbeliever. We know that Your Word says, “No one can come to You unless You draw them.” (John 6:44) Give them a desire to know You and be among Your people. Remind them of the stories of Your saving grace they've heard. Open their eyes to their need for You.
  • I pray that You would speak through every invitation and church card that has been given this week. Let tomorrow's service be reflective of Your goodness and power. In Jesus' name.
  • Psalm 51 - A Prayer of Repentance
    • Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. (v1)
    • Against you, and you alone, have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your sight. You will be proved right in what you say, and your judgment against me is just.  For I was born a sinner—yes, from the moment my mother conceived me. (v 4, 5)
    • Don’t keep looking at my sins. Remove the stain of my guilt. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. (v 9, 10)
    • Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. (v 11, 12)
    • You do not desire a sacrifice, or I would offer one. You do not want a burnt offering. The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God. (v 16, 17)
“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
(James 4:8, ESV)
  • Lord, Your Word reminds me that when I come closer to You, You will come closer to me. Today, I come with a heart seeking a deeper connection with You and a readiness to be used by You in whatever ways You see fit.
  • There are times that the weight of my own life has come between my relationship with You. I surrender my distractions and busyness. I don’t want to live a life that is halfway in the world and halfway with You. I ask that You would fill every corner of my heart.
  • Create within me a hunger and thirst for more of You. I want a genuine desire to draw closer.
  • I lay down all of my plans, ambitions, and motives at Your feet.
  • I also offer myself to be used in any way You see fit during church tomorrow. Guide me to do what aligns with Your will, whether it's through welcoming a newcomer, volunteering, or just being there.
  • Open my eyes and ears to Your leading. I pray that as we worship You and seek Your face in service, that You would meet us.
"How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
Scripture (Psalm 133:1 NIV)
  • I pray for the unity of hearts among the congregation. Pour out Your Spirit on us. Bring us together as brothers and sisters in Christ as we worship and seek Your face.
  • As we gather, I pray for a pure and receptive heart within each attendee. Create in us a hunger for Your Word, a desire for worship, and a spirit that is submissive to Your leading.
  • God, anoint our Pastor, Bishop, ministers, and all volunteers involved in the service.
  • Protect them from any attacks of the enemy that would try to keep them from doing what You’ve called them to.
  • Usher us into deep places as we worship You. As we sing, prepare our hearts for what You’re going to say through Your preached Word.
  • May Your Spirit rest on The man of God as he preaches Your Word tomorrow. Empower him to bring forth Your Word and minister to the hearts of those in need.
  • Use what we give in tithes and offering to save souls, to expand Your Kingdom, and to minister to spiritual and physical needs in our community and all over the world.
  • Anoint our service with the outpouring of Your Spirit. May there be miracles, signs, and wonders revealed that draw us closer to Your purpose and renew our commitment to serving You.
  • I lift up tomorrow's service to You. Let it be a service where lives are transformed, and Your name is glorified.
“The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
(Luke 18:27)
  • Do the impossible in tomorrow’s altar service, Lord!
  • Save the lost!
  • Heal the sick!
  • Comfort the brokenhearted!
  • Mend broken relationships!
  • Break strongholds!
  • Free those who are captive to addiction!
  • Drive away depression, anxiety and the spirit of heaviness!
  • Strengthen the weak and the weary!
  • Restore those who have fallen away from You!
  • Pour out Your Spirit!
Thank You for hearing my prayers and allowing me to feel Your presence today.
  • Thank You for going before me, being with me and never forsaking me. (Deuteronomy 31:8)
  • I give this day to You.   I ask You to order my steps, and use me to be a blessing to others.
  • In Jesus’ name, amen!
