“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:18)
  • God, I will give thanks to you in every season. Whether I am in the valley or on the mountaintop, You alone, are worthy of my praise.
  • Despite my circumstances I will give thanks to You because:
    • You are faithful. You never leave me or forsake me.
    • You woke me up this morning.
    • You protect me from the attacks of my enemy.
    • You have given me a sound mind.
    • You have shown me true freedom.
    • You comfort me in the difficult seasons of life.
    • You are unchanging and constant in a life full of ups and downs.
    • Without You, I would be lost.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever.”
(Psalms 107:1)
  •  I thank you, Lord, for your goodness. Help me appreciate and acknowledge the goodness you bring into my life every day.
  • In all circumstances, good or challenging, I will give thanks. Help me see your hand in every situation and trust that your plan is for my good.
  • I praise you for your character, Lord. Your goodness and love are constants in my life, and I'm thankful for who you are.
"Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your steadfast love; according to Your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions."
(Psalms 51:1)
  • Jesus, I thank You that I do not have to live a life of sin and condemnation, because of Your mercy.
  • I take time now to confess my sins to You. I acknowledge that I am not perfect, and there are things within me that I don’t always get right.
  • Because of Your love for me, I humble myself before you, and ask that You would forgive me for my sins.
  • I ask that you remove every ungodly thing from me. I want to live a life marked by Your righteousness.
“Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees! Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands. As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should!”
(Psalms 119:5-7)
  • Lord, I want to be more like You in every aspect. When I look at my life, I want it to be reflective of Your will. Please help me bring every area of my life into alignment with what You want for me.
  • I humbly submit to You:
    • My mouth (what I say)
    • My eyes (what I look at)
    • My ears (what I listen to)
  • In the Name of Jesus, I take captive and place under subjection:
    • The lust of my eyes
    • The lust of my flesh
    • The pride of my life
  • I surrender all my:
    • Doubts
    • Fears
    • Unbelief
  • May Your transformative power work in me today, molding me into the person You desire me to be.
Lord I know that, “The temptations in my life are no different from what others experience. And You are faithful. I trust that You will not allow the temptation to be more than I can stand. When I am tempted, I believe that You will show me a way out so that I can endure.”
(1 Corinthians 10:13, NLT, personalized)
  • God, You have promised me a way of escape from every temptation and I know You to be a promise-keeper. Today, I stand on Your Word and trust that You will provide a way out for me.
  • I acknowledge Your power to break the chains within me that lead me to fall into ungodly habits.
  • I pray for discernment and clarity to understand why I do what I do. Guide me to actions of meaningful change.
  • Lord, help me to overcome sinful patterns and find true freedom in You.
  • Let Your Word guide my thoughts and actions today.
  • I choose to focus on who I want to become, rather than what I want to do. As I go through life today, help me to remember who I am in You.
  • May Your power guide, deliver, and transform me in Jesus’ Name.
Your Word also commands me to, “Obey my spiritual leaders, and do what they say. Their work is to watch over my soul, and they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for my benefit.”
(Hebrews 12:17, personalized)
  • Praying for Spiritual Leaders:
    • I pray for the willingness to submit to my Pastor. Give me a yielding heart that recognizes the Godly authority You’ve given him to be a shepherd to me.
    • Surround my Pastor with protection. Your word says that 'the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe' (Proverbs 18:10). Guard him and his family against any schemes or attacks of the enemy.
    • Give him discernment and wisdom to navigate challenges and make decisions that are in line with Your will.
    • Your word says, 'the Lord is the strength of His people' (Psalm 28:8). Uphold my Pastor in moments of weariness and renew his strength.
    • Help me to honor, respect and support those that my Pastor has appointed as leaders in the house of the Lord according to Your will.  Thank You for all the ways You use them to help me, encourage me, advise me and support me.
Your Word says, "Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God."
(Romans 13:1)
Praying for Government Leaders:
  • I acknowledge that people in authority are appointed by You, including those in government positions.
  • Lord, You appoint leaders according to Your purpose. I pray for Your guidance in their roles. Help them lead with justice, fairness, and wisdom.
  • Place righteousness and integrity within them. Your word says, 'When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice.' (Proverbs 29:2, NIV) Promote politicians who know and love you.
  • Your Word assures us, 'The Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.' (2 Thessalonians 3:3, NIV) Protect them from lies and deception and give them sound minds as they govern your people.
Thank You for hearing my prayers and allowing me to feel Your presence today.
  • Thank You for going before me, being with me and never forsaking me. (Deuteronomy 31:8)
  • I give this day to You.   I ask You to order my steps, and use me to be a blessing to others.
  • In Jesus’ name, amen!
